Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5th 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her mother was at home and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis Kevin is her older brother. She has three siblings. McCormick was a gifted entertainer and singer at the age of 6. She would show puppet shows to entertain her friends. She won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was contacted by Pat Domigan, a talent agent of the Jack Wormser Agency. He asked her if she wanted to be a part of the show business. McCormick was offered her first major task when she was cast in the 1964 television commercial of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. The commercial was re-run in 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the lead role in Wind It up and It Breaks, a play at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, which was chosen out of 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the older of three two-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. It lasted five years. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice released in 2008, McCormick admitted that in the fifth season, she almost lost her virginity due to her onscreen brother and co-star Barry Williams. He was just 19. She was 16. We would've had a relationship, said she. However, the timing was not just right.
