Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she learned the flute piano and harpsichord for three years. Lennox was able to live with the stipend she received from her students and work part-time jobs. Lennox made the decision to alter her path in life following her dissatisfaction with her inexperience in contrast to other Royal Academy students. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. She left the band before the band was asked to participate in I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist for The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. They met Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to release her first solo album Diva. The album was released in the year 1992. Both commercially as well as critically, it was an enormous hit. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album was released in the month of November. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul tracks from her early years. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox has released Lepidoptera a collection of four piano pieces that she improvised. The E.P. The album is a companion of her "Now I let it go... art installation which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This is also her first self-released album. Annie Lennox, born on December 25, 1954, in Scotland, is a philanthropist as well as a political activist. She also sings. The Tourists had a minor hit in late 1970s. Lennox as well as Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, proceeded to achieve international fame in 1980s as the Eurythmics. The album that Lennox released in 1992 Diva was a huge success, featuring a variety of songs like Why, as well as Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa the studio album released in 1995 contains cover versions of songs including No MoreI I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums of her own, plus one compilation album, are to her credit.
